1. Introduction

Welcome to Acuryx. We are committed to protecting your personal and clinical data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Dental Practice Management System.

2. Data We Collect

A. Clinic Information

Clinic name, address, contact details, and registration documents for tenant verification.

B. Patient Data

Names, contact details, age, medical history, dental records, X-rays, and treatment plans. This data is isolated at the tenant (clinic) level.

C. Usage Data

IP addresses, browser types, and interaction logs with the platform to improve our services and maintain audit trails.

3. Medical Data Continuity & Trust

As a clinical tool, we prioritize medical continuity. Patient health records are immutable where required by clinical standards. We do not sell or share patient data with third-party marketing agencies.

4. Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (AES-256) for data at rest and TLS for data in transit. Access is controlled via strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

5. WhatsApp Communication

Notifications are sent via WhatsApp for appointments and follow-ups. We only send messages based on templates approved by the clinic and as per your consent.

6. Mobile App Permissions

Camera

Used only when you choose to capture patient photos, medical documents, prescriptions, and X-rays. Images are uploaded to your clinic's isolated record store; the app does not request access to your device's photo library and uses the system photo picker for any gallery selection.

Approximate Location

Used only, with your permission, to auto-fill your clinic or practice address during setup. We request approximate (coarse) location only, only while the app is in use. Location is never collected in the background and is never used for tracking or advertising.

Notifications

With your consent we register a push notification token to alert you about appointments and clinic activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

7. Crash Reporting & Diagnostics

To keep the app stable we use a crash-reporting service (Sentry) that collects diagnostic data such as crash logs, error traces, app version, and device model. Patient health information and credentials are scrubbed on-device before any report is sent. This data is used solely to diagnose and fix problems and is never used for advertising.

8. Device Information

We collect limited device information — such as device model and a push notification token — to operate the service, secure your sessions across devices, and deliver notifications. We do not collect or use advertising identifiers.

9. Data Retention & Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account at any time from the mobile app (Profile → Privacy & Legal → Delete Account) or via our web form at acuryx.com/delete-my-account. When you delete your account, your personal profile is removed and your sessions are revoked. Because Acuryx is a clinical system, patient and clinic medical records may be retained for the period required by applicable medical record-retention laws, after which they are deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
